I am sure you recognize one of these. We live in a culture where we are perpetually bombarded with noise, and have all of the gadgets to stay continually “plugged in.”  But are we really connected to one another?

Are we really connected to God?

In chapter 5 Solomon compels us to come back to the house of God, drawing near to listen, rather than to speak.

Matt Reynolds :: The Search for Meaning: Am I Alone? :: 09.26.10

Have you ever felt totally alone on the planet? Distant, detached, isolated from anyone and everyone? Have you ever felt all alone because it seemed like God was totally distant?

In Ecclesiastes chapter 4, Solomon explores three different ways to view how other people being in our lives affects our lives. One man chose to live alone, while another man had a companion or two to journey with, and lastly two different kings sit on the throne with different opinions on the importance of those around them. The common thread that runs through all of these stories is ultimately our  commitment to community.

Buddy Hoffman :: Marriage is a Kingdom Thing :: 06.06.10

The passages we have been in the last few weeks are 1 Corinthians 7 and Genesis 1-3; this week I want to expand that to Revelation 19, where we see the Kingdom is coming into its fullness. We are told a vast crowd in heaven is shouting and it is a sound so loud that it is compared to “the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder!” The event is called “the wedding feast of the Lamb!”

Marriage matters to God! Marriage is a Kingdom thing!
