One is called “Wisdom”, who calls aloud in the streets. People often neglect her and don’t see the beauty and richness of life that she offers to those who pursue her ways.
The other woman is called the “Adultress” or the “Strange Woman.” She transcends gender, creeps in the streets, while holding the power to entice men and women into lust instead of pursuing true love. Her ways taste sweet at first, but then turn bitter, and ultimately, lead to death. It’s shocking that although we are told exactly where these paths will end, many cling to the wrong “woman,” or more bluntly, entertain the wrong spirit and seal their fate with death instead of life.

Join us as Buddy compares the two choices we can make, their implications and the way to redemption.

Solomon had this unique opportunity as a young leader, and he decided to ask God for wisdom.
That simple choice would birth a book. Not just any old book, but the timeless words collected in what we now call Proverbs. These ancient words flow out of a heart that truly knows God, and they have been a guide for those seeking the Source of Wisdom for over 3,000 years.

Solomon had this unique opportunity as a young leader, and he decided to ask God for wisdom.

How can we bridge the distance and be close to God?

Intimacy with God begins when we radically pursue Him with our whole heart. King David wrote in Psalm 27:8, You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.”

If you feel like you are merely going through the motions in your walk with God, then join us as we explore what it takes to experience true intimacy with God. Learn how to press in for more of God’s presence in your own life! Experiencing the true intimate presence of the living God will radically change your life. Position yourself to listen, and He will speak.
The birth of Christ is not only give reason to stop and celebrate but also has incredible implications for how we perceive and live in the daily grind of everyday life. The fact that Jesus Christ lived as a human being speaks powerfully into how we view our families, our friends, our schools, our jobs, and the culture in which we live. It also empowers us to make a real difference in the real world, today. This Sunday, we will explore how Jesus’ life calls us to not only say, “yes” to a spiritual relationship with God, but also say “yes” to actively engaging in our families, jobs, and society.

As a sign of commitment and to build a community memorial of this moment, individuals and families wrote on 100-year-old Atlanta bricks their prayers and hope for the restoration of our city in Jesus’ name. This was one of the most powerful acts of worship we have ever seen in our sanctuary!

This week, we will continue in our Rediscovering the Church study with the first teaching in the Authority chapter. We’ll as the question, “What is spiritual authority?” and look at how the answer works itself out throughout the Scriptures.

<itunes:summary>Last Sunday, was a historic moment for Grace-Midtown as we celebrated and worshipped our Lord through our financial sacrifices for the Northside property. As a sign of commitment and to build a community memorial of this moment, individuals and families wrote on 100-year-old Atlanta bricks their prayers and hope for the restoration of our city in Jesus' name. This was one of the most powerful acts of worship we have ever seen in our sanctuary!

This week, we will continue in our Rediscovering the Church study with the first teaching in the Authority chapter. We'll as the question, "What is spiritual authority?" and look at how the answer works itself out throughout the Scriptures.

Why Antioch? Is there anything we can learn from Antioch? Some say the church is irrelevant, and sadly some are islands of irrelevance amidst seas of despair. Not only do they not dream of impacting the world, they wonder if they will survive. Dare we dream that God could use us to change our neighborhoods, schools, cities and cultures, maybe even the world?

As we’ve studied the last two Sundays, Jesus tells us the way we handle our money and possessions says a lot about what we actually believe about the Kingdom of God. In fact, 11 or Jesus’ 39 parables deal with finances and money directly, so as his disciples we must be wise in this area of our lives.

The key questions that come up in these parables are similar. Are we storing up for ourselves treasures on earth or investing in treasures that are eternal? Are we aware that we are accountable to God with how we use the things we have? Remember, this journey we are embarking on as a church leads us into more and more freedom!
