Building Project

small beginnings

Grace-Midtown came out of the overflow of Grace Fellowship Church’s vision to make disciples in the neighborhoods, the nations, and the next generation. What started from a few families with a heart for Atlanta, grew to what is now 1,000 people committed to bringing the Kingdom in the city.

Transformed people transform the city and we’ve seen many from all walks of life become true disciples of Jesus. We’re full. Four Sunday gatherings in a room built for 275, plus overflow downstairs, outside, and anywhere else we can fit people is the extent of our capacity at State Street, yet more continue to come. With the conviction to multiply disciples and release more communities on mission, we need a larger space.

ministering to all the city

Each year, 20,000 freshman move to Atlanta to attend some of the most influential universities in the country. Training and equipping them while they’re here, as well as people who will invest their lives and raise their families here, will bring the Kingdom to the city. To reach this city, though, we have to minister to ALL the city:: rich, poor, young and old. We believe our church is called to be a resourcing center, empowering then sending people to bring the Kingdom wherever they are.

636 northside drive

After months of searching and looking at various spaces, we found the property at 636 Northside Drive. Phase One will cost $2.6 million for the existing buildings, two of which we will renovate and use as a large gathering space and Kidtown (Watch a preview here).

This move would double our capacity, even triple our capacity for children, enabling us to minister to the whole family. Long term, we will renovate the warehouse and re-purpose the middle building for student ministries as those continue to grow.

join the movement

This is the biggest challenge we’ve ever faced. Just like Israel and the early church, this will require everyone’s gifts, time, and resources.
What has God given you to give? Together, we can fulfill all God is inviting us to do for this city and the cities of the world.
